Dorie Greenspan's Classic English Cream Scones: Baking with Cash and Auntie Anja

Welcome to our first baking vlog! Today you will see just how Cash and I baked some delicious classic cream scones for our “Hobbit Party.” Since school has been cancelled through April 16th due to the quarantine, I, Auntie Anj, am homeschooling my favorite nephew ever, Cash! We have decided to study “The Hobbit,” by J.R.R. Tolkien, which I am thrilled about and Cash is warming up to, hehe.

In the first chapter, “An Unexpected Party,” the dwarves arrive unexpectedly at the home of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who doesn’t particularly like surprises. They eat up all of the food in his kitchen, including lots of yummy scones! Cash had never eaten one before, so we found a recipe for them in our favorite baking book, “Baking: From my home to yours,” by Dorie Greenspan. Watch our video to see exactly how we made the scones and the amazing result, plus some shots of the cute little hobbit party that we threw for our family!
